Baptisms

Baptisms take place on Sundays following the Midday Mass at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Randwick. 

Please submit a Baptism Registration Form at least THREE MONTHS in advance as places are very  limited and there is a Baptism preparation program to be completed prior to receiving the Sacrament.  Please check the Parish Boundary Map below to ensure you are living in the Randwick Parish for the purposes of Baptism.

It is essential that you complete preparation before the Baptism of your child. Baptism preparation includes:

• Baptism Formation Session - 1 hour (as agreed with Priest).

• Attendance at Sunday Mass for presentation to the Parish Community.

• Attendance at Sunday Mass for Welcome and participation in Entrance procession.

• Attendance at Sunday midday Mass on day of Sacrament of Baptism, with Sacrament of Baptism to follow at 1pm.

Note: Participation in all of the above preparation and formation steps are mandatory to receive the Sacrament of Baptism at Sacred Heart Parish Randwick. 

Choosing Godparents: 

Please take care in selecting Godparents for your child. There must be at least one Catholic godparent to assist the parents with the Catholic upbringing of the baptised child.
