Confirmation

During the Sacrament of Confirmation, the Holy Spirit is completing what happened during Baptism and giving the newly confirmed strength to become a witness of Christ. Children in Year 6 and above, who have received the Sacrament of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, can join in the sacramental preparation program at our Parish. 

Key dates for 2026 program are as below:

• Registration Period: 

  • Monday 30 March 2026 - Friday 8 May, 2026

• Parent/Carer Information Evening: 

  • Wednesday 13 May, 2026 5.00pm

• Commitment Mass (select one): 

  • Saturday 23 May, 2026 at 5.30pm at St Margaret Mary's Church

  • Saturday 23 May, 2026 at 6pm at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church

  • Sunday 24 May, 2026 at 10am and 12noon at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church

• Formation Sessions (for both parent and child): 

  • Wednesday 13 May 2026 at 5:30pm at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School Hall and 

  • Wednesday 27 May, 2026 at 5.30pm at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School Hall

• Sacrament of Confirmation Liturgy: 

  • Wednesday 10 June 2026  or 

  • Thursday 11 June, 2025

at 5.30pm at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church

Please note the dates in your diary. Attendance to all events are compulsory. Inadequate attendance may result in differing the candidate to receiving the Sacrament in 2027.

There is an administrative and resources fee payable online during the registration process. 

To register for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, please complete the FORM available from Monday 30th March 2026.
