Dcn Trieu Nguyen msc
Dcn Trieu Nguyen is a recently ordained Deacon and Missionary of the Sacred Heart. He was born in small town that has recently become part of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Dcn Trieu was raised in a traditional Catholic family of five children, and it was within this family and parish community that he first received his faith and learned to deepen it.
From a young age, Dcn Trieu was actively involved in parish life through the choir, altar serving, youth groups, Religion of Mary and vocational discernment groups. These experiences, together with the inspiring example of his parish priest — who was humble, pastoral, and deeply compassionate, especially toward the poor and those in need — played an important role in nurturing his vocation.
Dcn Trieu began his journey with the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart in 2019. He completed his theological studies in Melbourne at the end of 2025. As part of his formation, Dcn Trieu has been assigned to Randwick Parish for his pastoral placement. He is very grateful for this opportunity and looks forward to learning from his MSC brothers who minister here, as well as from the people of God in this vibrant parish community.
Dcn Trieu looks forward to meeting you all in person and getting to know you better.
"Thank you very much for your warm welcome.
May God bless you all."
