We warmly welcome Fr. Joshua Gopini who is the latest MSC to join the OLSH & SMM Parishes. Fr. Josh is a brilliant young MSC from the Indian Community in Bangalore who came to Randwick on 18 April 2009. There was a time when we thought he would never arrive but the Immigration Office finally came through!
Since his arrival Fr Josh has been busy meeting Parishioners as well as meeting the groups which help the parish function. One of his long term aims during his ministry is to develop programmes for youth to encourage them in a greater participation in their faith.
Fr Joshua has many interests. His No.1-- CRICKET OF COURSE! He enjoys reading and is a whiz on the computer (not his words). Fr. Peter Hearn is trying to interest him in AFL, but so far only limited success. Although he has been here such a short time he is now firmly placed in our parish life.
