The first annual Retreat for Eucharistic Ministers was held at OLSH Church, in Ventnor, on Saturday 28th February 2009. The afternoon was made complete with 32 happy, willing participants. Fr Peter Hearn msc opened the afternoon with a beautiful opening prayer and welcome. The well chosen readings, meditation and contemplation were led by Barbara Bowring. An insightful sharing session was facilitated by Jenny McCarthy, exercises by Lyn McDonagh, afternoon tea and general organization by the EMHC team. A truly peaceful experience that participants said they would definitely like to be a part of next year. The next Retreat will be in 2010, watch the Bulletin for future dates.
