Father Joshva Gopini, born in Davangere, in the State of Kanataka, Southern India. After graduating from high school in 1994, I joined the Catholic Order of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, and commenced my priestly studies. After completing these studies I was ordained into the priesthood on September 16, 2004 in Bangalore. Following my ordination, for the next two years I worked in the Minor Seminary in Bangalore as a member of the teaching staff. and the Seminary's Bursar. In 2006 I was transferred to the Diocese of Mysore as an associate Pastor, in order to gain pastoral experience for a period of one year. In the following year, 2007, I returned to Bangalore where I was placed in charge of the pre-novices, again for another year.
My next appointment was to work as a pastoral assistant in the Parish of Randwick, Sydney, Australia. While I was waiting to obtain my visa I was temporarily appointed to work as an assistant in a Union Administration, and also as a scholasticate bursar.
When my Visa was finalised in 2009, I moved to Australia to work in our Australian Province, where I took up my position as assistant Pastor at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish, Randwick. My duties at Randwick currently include a variety of ministries including chaplain to the Parish Young Adults Group, Antioch, various hospitals and parish school
