THANKS to so many parishioners who contributed to the amazing HOLY WEEK Liturgies. Each year we have seen the congregations grow and grow.
Holy thursday Night Mass of the Lord's Supper, the Litrugy of the Passion 3.00pm Good Friday, were truly engaging faith experiences. Congratulations to the 16 members of the RCIA (and those who accompanied them), who were either baptised or received into full communion with the Church at the Vigil and to the four Catholic adults who joined them all for the Sacrament of Confirmation. May these be memories you can return to with joy.
A special vote of thanks to the 18 mainly junior High School youth who, togther with four University age students, presented such a moving Stations of the Cross - something we have come to look forward to each year. We are indebted to you all for putting your selves out for practices.
Each year we are accustomed to seeing the Sanctuary and Shrines looking beautiful - this year seems to have surpassed them all. There is an army of volunteers who work behind the scenes all year round, cleaning, ironing, polishing, preparing candles and tapers and palm Crosses by the thousands for our liturgies. Of course, our choirs, musicians and AV never fail to uplift us with the beauty of their ministry. You may follow some of those hymns on OLSHYoutube.
Our next major Liturgy will be ANZAC Day, Saturday April 25 at the Midday Mass.
LAST CALL MASS begins again Sunday 11th April, preceded by Adoration from 9.30pm
